Many adults face significant obstacles that make it difficult to fully assume their responsibilities as a parent. Issues such as mental health struggles, difficulties integrating as newcomers, conjugal violence, substance abuse, poverty, and more can prevent children from thriving in their home environment.

To address these challenges, and through the expertise & knowledge of Batshaw’s frontline staff, the Foundation provides emergency support specific to the needs of each family. Support includes items such as daycare payments, grocery gift cards, emergency orthodentic care, heating bills, bunk beds, school supplies, and so much more. This support is vital in creating a safer and more stable home environment, allowing children to grow and develop securely.

Providing timely care improves the overall living conditions of the family, reducing the risk of children being separated from their parents.
