Ambassador
Ayisha Issa
“As ambassador, I would like to tell vulnerable youth that hope and resilience, combined with the right support, can change lives,” said Issa, who has volunteered with Batshaw since her early 20s. “I am living proof that bright and promising futures are real possibilities.”

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Ayisha Issa is celebrated for her roles in both English and French-language television series and films, including her portrayal of Dr. June Curtis in the Canadian medical drama, "Transplant," currently airing on CTV.
Ayisha faced some challenges in her teenage years and, as a result, experienced Batshaw's services firsthand. Determined and resilient, Ayisha got into sports, continued her studies, and found a way through her difficult time. Ayisha is a passionate advocate for youth in care and children at-risk and truly understands the importance of empowering and nurturing these young individuals. Her unique life experience exemplifies the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when children facing adversity are provided with the necessary tools and support to overcome their obstacles. Her new role as ambassador is a testament to her commitment to helping vulnerable youth build confidence and reach their potential.
